In Autumn Maidlow’s video, the reptile can be seen nesting in the stroller while her husband, Tyler, explains how the snake struck him as he passed by unknowingly.
In an interview with local media outlets, the couple said that, although terrified, they were grateful for spotting the copperhead before the next outing with their nine-month-old daughter, Ava Grace.
According to KHQA, Tyler killed the snake with a shovel. After the frightening experience, Autumn took the opportunity to issue a warning to other parents.
“Keep your garage door closed, don’t keep blankets, toys or anything that would obstruct your view in anything your child goes in, keep garage clear and clean, and pay attention to your surroundings!” she told Fox 17 News.
